Who we are

SteadyLens is a London-based video production service for performance, education, shows and corporate projects.

For privacy questions, contact hello@steadylens.uk.

What information we collect

When you contact SteadyLens, we may collect your name, email address, organisation, project type and the details you include in your brief.

For business outreach, SteadyLens may keep limited professional contact details found on public organisation websites or professional directories. This is normally a name, role, organisation, work email, phone number and relevant notes about why the organisation may be a good fit.

The website currently does not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies. Standard hosting logs may record technical data such as IP address, browser, device type, visited page and time of visit for security and maintenance.

How we use information

SteadyLens uses enquiry data to reply to messages, scope projects, prepare proposals, arrange shoots and manage client communication.

SteadyLens may use business contact data to make relevant B2B introductions to organisations whose work fits performance, education, show or corporate production services. You can ask not to be contacted again at any time.

The usual lawful bases are legitimate interests for responding to enquiries, business development and running the website, and contract or pre-contract steps when discussing or delivering a project.

Form security

Our enquiry forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated spam. Cloudflare processes browser and device signals for this check. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Turnstile requires JavaScript; you can also contact us by email.

A temporary, essential session cookie secures the form. Short-lived counters based on hashed network and email identifiers limit repeated requests. These controls are used for security, not advertising.

Client area

The client portal uses your account name, a hashed password and essential session cookies to give you access to your own project deliveries. Authentication sessions expire after eight hours. Security controls keep temporary records of login attempts to limit automated attacks.

Delivery videos remain in private Google Drive folders. Hostinger hosts the portal and its private project metadata, thumbnails and prepared previews. The portal checks your account and project permissions before serving a file. SteadyLens uses a read-only service account to access the authorised delivery folders.

A direct access link grants access to that client's visible projects to anyone holding it. Keep it private. SteadyLens can revoke or replace it, including links issued without an expiry date. Feedback notes and approvals currently stay on your device; email SteadyLens if you want to share them.

Contact hello@steadylens.uk if you need help with account access, your personal information or project retention.

How long we keep information

General enquiries are normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact unless a project goes ahead or there is a practical reason to keep them longer.

Project, invoice and contract records may be kept for up to 6 years where needed for business, tax, accounting or legal reasons. Outreach suppression requests may be kept so SteadyLens can avoid contacting you again.

Who we share it with

SteadyLens does not sell personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate email, hosting, file delivery, accounting or project management, and with crew or collaborators when needed to deliver a project.

If a project involves performers, students or staff, project-specific consent, release and safeguarding requirements should be agreed with the client before filming.

Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, SteadyLens expects appropriate safeguards to be used by the supplier.

SteadyLens does not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing.

Business outreach and your right to object

You have the right to object to SteadyLens using your professional contact details for direct business outreach.

To opt out, email hello@steadylens.uk with the organisation or email address you want suppressed. SteadyLens may keep a minimal suppression record so it can avoid contacting you again.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information. You can also object to direct business outreach.

You can contact SteadyLens at hello@steadylens.uk. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
